A low molecular weight resin containing approximately 81 percent vinyl chloride, 17 percent vinyl acetate, and 2 percent maleic acid; VMA-T solution vinyl resin is characterized by a high degree of solubility in solvent systems having a high aromatic hydrocarbon content. When dissolved in a suitable solvent/diluent combination, such as 25 percent ketone/75 percent aromatic hydrocarbon, resin solutions of 30 percent solids can be achieved. VMA-T solution vinyl resin yields the good balance of solubility and viscosity properties needed for high-build, air-dry maintenance finishes.

 

 VMA-T can also be used in air-dry finishes, such as maintenance, marine, and metal coatings, interbedded adhesive, foils, hot-transfer, shoe manufacturing, metal inks, and is often used to make heat-sealable packaging coatings. coatings and adhesives applications where higher solids are desirable.
